FILM MAGAZINE COVER (individual) The magazine cover links to the trailer & poster by featuring the villain centre front dressed as he is in trailer and poster; the same visual codes (seedy hat, dark glasses, louche leopard skin coat, skull ring) make the antagonist cut a compellingly showy & outre showbiz-like figure that draws the eye. The head is rather squashed, however, or the hat worn very low down, which looks a bit strange. The film title is clearly the main splash, the gold connoting Ular's seductive glamour & the font an old-fashioned tale of greed, sin & loss. The tagline "the story everyone knows" appeals to viewers as do the lure (Exclusive!), puff (incredible 2016 review) & coverlines featuring current movies. The layout is well balanced, conventionally justified but on the LH side shaped in. I like the Diamond Cut masthead font as it is a fresh approach. Solid genre research included.
